Books splurge

Ok, I may have spent quite a bit on books lately.

I bought:
The well trained mind
Writing with Ease : strong Fundamentals
Writing with Ease: workbook 1

before that:
Science Play
Teaching Montessori in the Home : The Pre-School Years
What your first grade needs to know
What your kindergartener needs to know

from the book fair:
some islamic workbooks from darul andalus, a singaporean publisher, books in Malay. Very good, so far H, at 3 1/2 likes the nurseri akhlaq one very much. So much so that today she’s saying, all these shapes..Allah makes them! wow..the aha! moment

talking bout that, the boy recently said “ameen” so clearly while we’re all in praying, wow! coming from a 1 1/2 year old who doesn’t even say ibu or mama or ayah clearly, that was a significant step!

Then today, while ayah was humming to “if you’re happy and you know it..” he would reply back with good timing! well the reply is unintelligable, but the timing was spot on..and he did it 3 times! wow, even the sisters couldn’t do that at that age. Maybe introducing the kompang (malay drums) virtually since he was a few months old had this effect on his musical ability..i don’t know, but the sisters are using the kompang today to accompany their singing.
